Inner Wheel Club Jalandhar Launches Plantation Drive under Project IKHTIYAAR
The Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar, under the presidentship of Ms. Inderkiran, conducted a meaningful plantation drive under Project IKHTIYAAR, with a mission to promote environmental sustainability by planting and distributing a diverse range of trees and saplings.

Jalandhar, July 17, 2025: The Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar, under the presidentship of Ms. Inderkiran, conducted a meaningful plantation drive under Project IKHTIYAAR, with a mission to promote environmental sustainability by planting and distributing a diverse range of trees and saplings.
As part of the initiative, 181 fruit-bearing, flowering, and shady trees were planted at the Deaf and Dumb School, contributing to a greener and more vibrant environment for the students.
Marking Sankranti, the club also organized a unique “Langar of Plants” at Gurudwara Sahib, Defence Colony, where 175 saplings—comprising medicinal, fruit, floral, and shade-giving plants—were distributed among the Sangat.
Furthering their eco-friendly efforts, 25 saplings were planted at the Electricity Board premises in Jalandhar.
The drive was led by Project Director Dr. Harjinder Kaur, with active participation from Secretary Nidhi Sehgal, IPP Punam Jagota, Anita Chawla, Rekha Arora, Anju Sharma, Jaswant Minhas, Sangeeta Bansal, Harminder Kaur, Rajkamal, and Opinder Kaur.
