Inner Wheel Club Jalandhar Hosts Official Chairman Visit
Showcases Strong Commitment to Women Empowerment and Social Welfare
Jalandhar, December 22, 2025: The Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar successfully conducted its Official Chairman Visit. District Chairman Priti Khajuria reviewed the club’s functioning and appreciated the initiatives taken under the leadership of President Inderkiran Toor, especially in the fields of women empowerment, economic upliftment, and social welfare. She also shared valuable guidance for future growth.
A warm floral welcome was extended to honorable District Chairman by President and Secretary Nidhi Sehgal and Nimmi Chaudhary also extended a floral welcome to the PDCs in the regular meeting. The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, accompanied by sacred shlokas recited by Neelu Mahendra. Children from Divya Jyoti Sansthan gave a graceful dance performance and were felicitated with trophies. The incoming team for the next year was announced. The meeting was efficiently conducted by Poonam Jagota as MOC and Kavita Jairath presenting the Chairman’s biodata.
The Annual Report was presented by President Inderkiran Toor, Secretary Nidhi Sehgal, and Treasurer Seema Arora. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vice President Anita Chawla. Forty members attended the meeting including PDC Jagbans Toor, PDC Asha Paul, and PDC Adarsh Sood.
During the visit, the following projects were executed by District Chairman Priti Khajuria:
• Support to a Deaf and Dumb School including essential utilities, hygiene supplies, medicines, clothes, and necessary repairs
• Assistance to Mandi Fenton Ganj School with utensils, kitchen support material, hygiene supplies, and medicines
• Donation of a wheelchair to a differently-abled man
• Provision of an artificial limb to a young man
• Donation of a cycle to a needy girl
• Donation of a laptop to a college-going girl
• Toiletries and daily-use items provided to Chanan Vocational Centre
• Support to Gaushala for animal care
• Educational fee assistance for three students
• Financial support to a needy elderly lady
Volunteers of Virast-e-Seva, adopted by the club, were honoured for their commendable contribution during flood relief activities.
