Ludhiana, March 23, 2024: Punjab State Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an Industry Interaction with District Administration of Ludhiana at DCM Young Entrepreneurs School Ludhiana to address the concerns and challenges faced by local businesses.

While welcoming the delegates and speakers RS Sachdeva Chair Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI announced the opening of PHDCCI's office in Ludhiana. He stated that this strategic move aims to enhance the accessibility of PHDCCI's resources and support services for local businesses, facilitating their growth and expansion initiatives.

Chief Guest on the occasion Sakshi Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, commended the significant contribution of Ludhiana's industrialists to Punjab's economy. However, she also pointed out their urban apathy and encouraged them to actively participate in the upcoming elections. Sawhney emphasized the importance of voting and urged them to motivate their employees to exercise their voting rights as well.

The session witnessed an insightful discussion on various pain points and opportunities within the industrial landscape of Ludhiana from Industry stalwarts including US Ahuja, President, CICU; GS Kular, President, FICO and Mridula Jain, Chairperson, Shingora Textiles among others.

Guests of Honor Sandeep Rishi, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana and Maj. Amit Sareen, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana patiently listened to the industry's pain points regarding infrastructure, encroachment, traffic congestion, bureaucratic hurdles, and inadequate public amenities. They assured the participants of their commitment and support to address these challenges and affirmed to work closely with local businesses and stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

While moderating the session Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHDCCI reiterated PHDCCI's unwavering dedication to promoting a conducive business environment and fostering sustainable economic development across Ludhiana and the whole of Punjab.

During his formal Vote of Thanks Dr. Anirudh Gupta, Convener, Education Sub-committee, Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI and CEO, DCM Good of Schools highlighted the pivotal role of collaboration between the government and the industry in fostering economic growth and development.

Leadership of Punjab State Chapter, Co-Chairs/Conveners/Co-Conveners of sub-committees and forums were also present during the interaction. The interaction was attended by over 60 notable business houses of the region.
