Industries Department realises Rs 40 crore through e-auction of plots

Chandigarh: Notching up another success, Punjab Government  under the dynamic leadership of Capt  Amarinder Singh has recorded sales revenue to the tune of Rs. 40 Crore through e-auction of Industrial and Commercial Plots developed by PSIEC even during the ongoing COVID phase.
 
This was disclosed by Industries & Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora here today. 
 
PSIEC, the nodal agency of the State Government for development of Industrial Estates, had launched the e-auction of industrial plots and commercial sites located in its Industrial Focal Points across Punjab in Abohar, Amritsar, Batala, Bathinda, Chanalon (Kurali), Goindwal Sahib, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Malout, Mandi Gobindgarh, Mohali, Mukatsar, Naya Nangal, Nawan Shehar, Nabha (New), Pathankot, Tanda, and Raikot.
 
Auction received encouraging response from budding entrepreneurs and investors for industrial and commercial properties located in Ludhiana, Mohali, Amritsar, Abohar, Pathankot, Bathinda, Chanalon and Malout, the Minister said. 
 
Ms. Vini Mahajan, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Deptt. of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Punjab, informed that overwhelming response was received in the auction, especially with regard to commercial properties of PSIEC located in Mohali, Ludhiana and Amritsar. She further informed that PSIEC is planning to shortly launch another auction of prime industrial, commercial and residential properties located in Industrial Focal Points across the State of Punjab.
