Lucknow, February 11, 2018: Keeping in line with its culture of promoting employee health and wellness, Indus Towers, India’s largest telecom infrastructure company, today participated in the 2nd edition of Lucknow City Half Marathon. Over 180 employees of Indus, including associates and technicians ran the half marathon to spread awareness around road safety, healthy lifestyle and personal well-being. Contributing towards its credo of ‘Putting India First’, Indus Towers further strengthens its commitment to attain highest standards of health and safety for the local community.

The marathon, which saw participation from around 6000 people across the different parts of the city, was inaugurated by Ms. Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor of Lucknow. Indus employees, with banners on road safety, encouraged people to always use seat belt, wear helmet, and urged them to not use their mobile phones while driving. The company was appreciated for its efforts in driving this awareness and also felicitated with an award for ‘Maximum Participation by a Corporate’ by the organizers. Mr. Ajay Duggal, CEO, UP East Circle, Indus Towers received the award on behalf of the organization.
