Induction Programme at UIET from 10-12 Nov 2022

Chandigarh, November 12, 2022: The department of Applied Sciences at UIET, Panjab university is organizing 3-day induction program from 10th-12th Nov 2022 for newly inducted B.E. students in 1st year. It aims at sensitizing the students about their new environment, how they can adjust to it, and overcome the problems they may face in it.

The inaugural session of the program started with Director, Prof. J.K.Goswamy’s  address to the students regarding the vast possibilities Panjab University as a whole will provide them for all-round growth. The chief guest for the session, Prof. Renu Vig, Dean University Instruction gave students a glimpse of the expanse and rise of Panjab University and how it is a fertile place for their knowledge and intellect to grow. Other dignitaries gracing the occasion were Prof. Sanjeev Puri and Prof. Kalpana Dahiya, who motivated students to maintain a balance between their personal and professional life.

The inaugural session was followed by presentations on activities going on in various engineering branches of UIET by respective branch coordinators. The spectrum of speakers invited for the program includes Dr. Sahul Bharti (PGI), Ramneek Bansal, Dr Usha Dutta (PGI), and Dr Prabhjot Malhi(PGI). They are experts working on the mental and physical health of adolescents, who interacted and provided guidance to students for their well-being. In the intermittent sessions, students of various cultural clubs and committees of UIET gave a glimpse of their activities.
