India's largest technology and startup festival 'AITSAV-4.0' begins in Ludhiana; Talent on display from artificial intelligence to robotics

Ludhiana, August 8, 2026: India's largest technology and startup festival, AITSAV-4.0, got off to a grand start at DCM Young Entrepreneurs School here today. Over 600 students from various prominent schools across the country showcased their talent in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Emerging technologies, and demonstrated their imagination, technical knowledge and innovative capabilities.
The Festival commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp at the school's Dass Auditorium. Principal Meenu Chopra welcomed the guests and participants, while Festival Convener Puneet Goyal introduced the concept of AITSAV-4.0 and briefed the audience about various path breaking events being held as part of the festival.
Inaugurating the festival, Dr Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group, said the future belongs to technology and startups.
He said limiting students to textbook knowledge alone is no longer sufficient. "They must be provided with opportunities that encourage them to develop new ideas, find solutions to real-life problems and transform their ideas into reality," he said. On the occasion, Surinder Singh- Asst. Commandant ITBP, Dr. Bishav Mohan, Yogendra Nath- COO SPS Hospital and Col. Sonika Sharma were also present.
Dr Gupta said curiosity, creativity and the ability to innovate already exist within every student. "What they need is the right direction, the right platform and the freedom to experiment. Artificial Intelligence and modern technology are not merely subjects to learn but powerful tools that enable students to become partners in India's new journey of development," he added.
Encouraging the participants, Surinder Singh from ITBP said students should not remain mere users of technology but become innovators who create new technologies, solve problems and generate employment through entrepreneurship. He said AITSAV is not just another competition or a one-day event but a platform that gives a new direction to students' thinking.
Dr. Bishav Mohan said that the DCM Group has been continuously working to prepare students for the changing needs of the modern world alongside conventional education. Providing opportunities in Artificial Intelligence, Coding, Cryptography, Robotics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an integral part of this vision. "Today's student is tomorrow's scientist, entrepreneur, innovator and nation builder," he added.
Sharad Aggarwal Sr VP said that this year's theme is "Smart Minds, Smart Technology." The objective is to inspire students to become future entrepreneurs and innovators. He said that AITSAV-4.0 is hosting 20 competitions across three age categories for students including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Drone Challenge, Arduino Embedded Systems, Python Programming, Coding, Data Science, Analytics, STEM Innovation, Augmented Reality, AI Startups, Entrepreneurship, 3D Designing, Design Thinking, Animation, Smart Automation and Future Technology.
He further said that the competitions will be judged by a panel comprising Artificial Intelligence experts, industry leaders and academicians. The jury includes Dr Munish Jindal, Tarun Malhotra, Gaurav Madan, Prof Nipun Sharma, Dimple Verma, Abha Sikri, Anurag Tiwari, Shilpa Miglani Narang and Anima Mishra, among other experts.
Principal Meenu Chopra said the students participated in the festival with great enthusiasm and presented their innovative ideas through modern technology. Their creativity and innovative projects attracted the attention of guests and experts alike.
