He said that the successful neutralisation of six hardened Naxalites including top Central Committee Member Ganesh Uike in Kandhamal district of Odisha marks a powerful moment of national resolve justice and security.
Grewal wrote on his social media account X that Ganesh Uike was not merely a name but a symbol of terror fear and violence who for years orchestrated brutal attacks against innocent civilians and brave security personnel. He said that the elimination of such a dangerous leader carrying a massive bounty reflects the professionalism courage and unmatched coordination of our security forces guided by clear vision and firm political will from the Centre.
He said that Amit Shah has consistently demonstrated that national security is non- negotiable and that the protection of citizens especially in tribal and remote regions is the highest priority of the Modi Government. Grewal said that the Home Minister’s clear declaration of making India Naxal free before 31 March 2026 is not just a target but a solemn promise to the nation backed by action strategy and sacrifice.
Grewal said that the Kandhamal operation proves the success of the multi-pronged approach adopted by the Government of India where strong security action goes hand in hand with development dignity and trust building. He said that improved roads mobile connectivity banking access welfare delivery and focused governance in tribal areas have isolated violent ideologies and restored faith in democracy.
He further said that the steady decline of Naxal violence in Odisha and other affected states is a testament to enhanced intelligence sharing inter-state coordination and the establishment of forward operating bases which have restricted the operational space of extremist groups. Grewal said that this operation sends a loud and clear message that violence extremism and anti-national forces have no future in India.
