Bengaluru: Aamaara Instapure drinking water purifying granules – India’s first affordable solution for pure and safe drinking water was launched in the city today by renowned cine actor couple Shri Jai Jagadish and Shrimathi Vijayalakshmi Singh in the presence of Shri Yoshinobu Takagi San, Shikoku Chemicals Corporation, Japan, Dr V F Prakash, Former Registrar - IIIT, Bangalore & Former Scientist - Central Ground Water Board, Govt. of India, Dr M V Shashirekha, Former Chief Chemist - Dept of Mines and Geology/Dept of Ground Water, Govt. of Karnataka and Shri Ramesh Ramaswamy – MD, Aamaara Instapure.
At only 25paise per litre, Aamaara Instapure is a very cost effective solution for both rural and urban households, especially for people who have no access to safe drinking water.  The ‘Sodium dichloroisocyanurate’ (SDIC) granules is a salt compound that purifies, cleanses, de-odorises and de-pathogenesis any potable water.

According to statistics, 163 million Indians lack access to safe drinking water, 21% of communicable diseases are linked to unsafe water and 500 children under the age of five die from diarrhea each day in India. The purpose of Aamaara Instapure is to deliver pure and safe water by eliminating bacteria and pathogens, bad taste and germs and to empower and enable the householder to purify drinking water in their houses easily.

A team from Japan conducted extensive study in many urban and rural areas in India to explore the possibilities of providing clean and safe drinking water to people who do not have access to pure drinking water. After a thorough study, they had found that centralised filtration in Indian cities is not possible as piping system is very old and contaminated; most of the households do not have pipe connections and other available purification systems are expensive and beyond the reach of many people. So their recommendation was to purify the water at last point of consumption which is kitchen or home.

‘’After three years of research in India, we have come out with Aamaara Instapure Water Purifying Granules to provide clean and safe drinking water to people who do not have access to clean water. It is very convenient to use and the quality and efficacy of the product is approved by NSF, USA & FSSA, India. This product will be very useful to rural and urban people’’, said Shri Yoshinobu Takagi San, Shikoku Chemicals Corporation, Japan.

“During the natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, landslides, it is very common that the drinking water source gets polluted. This product will be quite helpful for the local community affected by calamities’’, said Dr V F Prakash, Former Registrar - IIIT, Bangalore & Former Scientist - Central Ground Water Board, Govt of India.

“The households that are financially sound install water purifiers with Reverse Osmosis (RO) system while others boil water. This creates an additional monetary burden due to increase in consumption of electricity and cooking gas for filtering and boiling. Aamaara Instapure helps address these challenges as it is very affordable and one sachet costs only Rs. 5 which is enough to purify 20 litres of drinking water”, said Ramesh Ramaswamy, MD – Aamaara Instapure.

Aamaara Instapure is certified by National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), USA and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for drinking water disinfection. It is safe to use, handle and store, easy to carry as it comes in a sachet and has no insoluble ingredients. NSF is one of the most trusted and respected independent certification organisations that help protect water, food, consumer products and environment.
