Indian Overseas Bank Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Parade and Flag Hoisting
Independence Day was celebrated by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) at their Central Office, which was marked by an impressive Parade, hoisting of National Flag by Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO at 08:00 Hours to the tunes of National Anthem.

Independence Day was celebrated by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) at their Central Office, which was marked by an impressive Parade, hoisting of National Flag by Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO at 08:00 Hours to the tunes of National Anthem. This was followed by administering of the Pledge on National Integration by the MD & CEO. Executive Directors Shri. Joydeep Dutta Roy and Dhanaraj T, Chief Vigilance Officer P Krishnan & Senior Executives participated in the function. The employees of IOB participated enthusiastically in the national event.
During the event, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, has extended financial support to the National Institute of Value Education (NIVE) Trust towards procurement of school bus for economically backward students. The bank also, launched its Centralized NRI Back Office, a dedicated initiative aimed at strengthening and streamlining services for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) across the globe. The NRI Centralized Back Office was formally inaugurated by Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava MD & CEO of IOB.
Speaking on the occasion Ajay Kumar Srivastava MD & CEO, said that the bank remains committed to supporting meaningful CSR initiatives that promote education, accessibility and inclusive growth. This support to NIVE Trust will help improve transportation access for students and contribute to a safer and more supporting to learning environment. The Centralized NRI Back Office marks an important step towards providing faster, seamless and customer-centric banking services to the Bank’s NRI clientele. The initiative brings together key NRI-related operational activities under a centralized framework, enabling improved turnaround time and enhanced customer satisfaction.
