Throughout my career, I’ve had the honour of working with great and illustrious personalities. The one thing I would like to teach the contestants is the value of hard work and devotion. What can the audience expect from this season of Indian Idol, with you as one of the judges?
This season of ‘Indian Idol’ in its truest sense is going to be, ‘music ka sabse bada tyohaar!’ There’s going to be amazing music, emotional moments, and loads of entertainment for the audience. From Mumbai’s Subhadeep impressing us with a stunning rendition of 'Ami Je Tomar' (from 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'), Faridabad’s Adya Mishra winning over us with her rendition of the 'Namak Ishq Ka' song from the movie 'Omkara' to Karnataka’s Shivani Swami singing a classical rendition of "Mast Qalandar” – I have been bowled over by their talent. Misme Bose from Guwahati, Assam floored us with her melodious rendition of the iconic Devdas song Morey Piya, famously sung by my fellow Judge Shreya Ghoshal, and the audition round will set the tone of Season 14. With the help of my fellow judges – Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani and the brilliant contestants, we hope to make this season of Indian Idol truly memorable. I'm excited to be a part of this musical adventure and to discover India's next singing sensation.
