Ludhiana, January 5, 2012: The most talented voice of India selected as the winner of the biggest reality TV show, ‘Indian Idol 6’, Vipul Mehta has admitted that there were a few singers who were also taking help of negative propaganda to gain popularity.

Interacting with the media persons here today, he said he did not agree that the market of music albums was on decline. He said there were many more other mediums of buying albums in the present era of advanced technology.

Replying to a question, he told that the ultimate singing completely depended upon content of the song. He admitted that the life of songs was less these days as compared to the past. Citing certain factors for the same, he told that music was getting changed very fast, the younger generation was following western music and number of singers and music directors were increasing.

He told that he had recently sung two songs for Bollywood.

To a question, he told that he had not received any offer to sing for any Punjabi movie so far. He said he would sing once he given an offer.

Asked about his target audience, he told that his targetted audience was from across the country.

Vipul was in the city for release of his debut album `Hello Namaste Sat Sri Akal’ (Universal Music India).

He told that his debut album featured “Rowaan Mein” in the Punjabi language.

The album comprising of 7 tracks, provides a holistic display of Vipul’s ability to sing a variety of genres and highlights his versatile and powerful voice. The young singer has been through a rollercoaster ride during the latest edition of hit TV show Indian Idol and has proved himself among a host of other aspiring singers.

Vipul’s talent emerged at a young age when he started learning classical music at the age of 8. An avid Sunny Deol fan, he hopes to one day compose his own songs. While he has recorded a single already for the album ‘Indian Idol Fabulous Four’, where all of the finalists sang a unique rendition of the song ‘Pal’, this is his first album featuring only himself. His version of the single ‘Pal’ will is a part of the album along with 6 other songs.

Vipul has sung revamped versions of the classic songs ‘Har Kisi KoNahinMilta’ and ‘DilKyaKare’ as a tribute to the legends of yesteryear. These two songs have been produced by DJ Aks who is a leading producer ion the Bollywood Club remix scene and is known to produce for a host of Bollywood films. Vipul has also sungthree original tracks for the album titled ‘TerePyar Ton’, ‘KyaKaroon’ and ‘Rowan Mein’ portraying various beautiful emotions that deal with love. Of these the tracks TerePyar Ton’ and ‘Rowan Mein’ have been produced by acclaimed Pakistani producer Ali Mustafa. ‘Rowan Mein’– it’s a song felt after a heartbreak is the lead video from this album.

For the first time in 6 years, Indian Idol is working with Universal Music India as their official label partner this year.
