INDIAN ARMY EXTENDS INVITATION TO NEXT OF KIN OF LATE SEPOY AMARDEEP SINGH FOR CONFERRING SENA MEDAL (GALLANTRY) POSTHUMOUSLY AT BARNALA

Jalandhar, March 6, 2023: The Indian Army extended a formal invitation to father of Late Sepoy Amardeep Singh, who laid down his life in the line of duty on 25th April 2021 while attempting to save precious lives of six fellow soldiers and civilians from a deadly avalanche. The martyred soldier will be honoured with Sena Medal (Gallantry) posthumously for his heroic act and the same will be received by his father Manjeet Singh at Western Command Investiture Ceremony at New Amritsar Military Station, Khasa on 11 Mar 2023. The representatives from Indian Army reached Barnala to extend a formal invitation to the solemn event. Sena Medal (Gallantry) is conferred as a recognition for individual act of courage and exceptional devotion to duty while serving the Nation. The investiture ceremony is held every year in various commands of Indian Army and the solemn ceremony is conducted with full honour and military decorum.
