New Delhi, January 16, 2026: The Government of India and the Federal Republic of Germany have signed a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) on Telecommunications Cooperation reinforces the strategic economic partnership to establish to deepen bilateral cooperation in telecommunications and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) said Rajeev Juneja, President, PHDCCI.
The agreement will strengthen collaboration through high-level annual meetings and multi-stakeholder working groups. The framework aims to facilitate cooperation on policy, regulatory practices, and adoption of emerging digital technologies he said.
Declaration will have a direct economic impact as it will encourage innovation, enhance competitiveness, and creating a advantageous environment for investment in digital infrastructure, manufacturing and services, he added.
Systematized collaboration on policy, regulation and generation-next communications technologies will unlock new commercial opportunities, and help scaling up advanced shared digital standards in international platforms said Dr. Ranjeet Mehta, CEO & Secretary General, PHDCCI.
