Dharamsala, September 19, 2022: Union Tourism Minister G Krishna Reddy said that the Government of India thinks that marketing of tourism should be done at the international level. Whatever country the Prime Minister visits, he definitely talks about Indian tourism. The Ministry of Tourism is also making such a plan so that the foreign tourists will be more inclined towards India. For this, orders have been given to all Indian embassies in this regard.

The Government of India is soon going to appoint tourist officers in all the embassies. He said that he sincerely hopes that by 2025, India will be among the first 10 countries in the world in terms of tourism. He said that since the conditions of attracting tourists to India's neighbouring countries are not friendly. In such a situation, India has a golden opportunity to attract tourists from all over the world. The Tourism Minister said that there are more than three thousand heritage destinations in India. The responsibility of some officials should be fixed everywhere to make the information accessible to the tourists.

There should be healthy competition for tourism development in all the states, only then tourism development is possible. He said that tourism youth clubs should be formed on the lines of NCC, NSS and Scouts and Guides in all educational institutions so that information about Indian tourist places can be found. There should be improvement in air rail and road connectivity then only tourist will be attracted.

For example, it is necessary to have the facility of night landing at a place like Dharamsala. He said that civil aviation will be a big challenge in the coming times. A network of modern roads is being laid in India. According to the orders of the Government of India, the tourists should get the facility of modern toilets at all the petrol pumps. Similar facilities are needed in other areas.
Marketing of local and tribal festivals of their respective states should be done by making videos on social media in a better way. He said that tourists should have all the information about the tourist destination in advance. He admitted that there is a budget crunch in the tourist sector which should be increased. He said that after the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, tourism has increased. Today, youths are walking with the Tricolor near Dal Lake in Kashmir. Which is a great relief.
