Cape Breton University (CBU), one of Canada's leading public universities, led a session at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, showcasing CBU's strategic priorities in India, the university's growing footprint across the subcontinent, and the broader ambition of strengthening the India–Canada higher education corridor.
New Delhi, April 28, 2026: Cape Breton University (CBU), one of Canada's leading public universities, led a session at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, showcasing CBU's strategic priorities in India, the university's growing footprint across the subcontinent, and the broader ambition of strengthening the India–Canada higher education corridor.
The session was addressed by President & Vice-Chancellor David C. Dingwall, who underscored CBU's commitment to creating structured, accessible pathways for Indian students. With a diverse campus representing over 70 countries and more than 60 areas of study, CBU offers a close-knit, globally connected learning environment tailored for the next generation of professionals. The delegation is actively seeding institutional collaborations and MOUs to formalise mobility frameworks between India and Canada.

This visit reflects our intent to build high-impact, future-focused collaborations that go beyond traditional academic exchange. The delegation, spanning six cities, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad, marks one of CBU's most significant outreach efforts in India to date.
