Jalandhar, August 15, 2025: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and cultural vibrancy. The campus was beautifully adorned with tricolour decorations, symbolizing the pride and unity of the nation.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled the air with reverence and pride. This was followed by a series of performances that brought alive the essence of freedom.
The tiny tots of the junior wing stole hearts with their delightful patriotic dances, while senior students presented choreographed sequences depicting India’s struggle for independence and the sacrifices of freedom fighters.Patriotic songs resonated across the ground, evoking emotions of unity and gratitude towards the motherland.Various group dance performances showcased the heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, serving as a poignant reminder of the invaluable gift of liberty and filling the audience with a deep sense of patriotism. Inspiring speeches highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the role of youth in nation-building.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, forty students of the school proudly represented DRV DAV Centenary Public School at the Tehsil-level Independence Day celebration in the Community Hall, Phillaur. Through a vibrant medley of traditional dances from various states, they beautifully portrayed the rich cultural diversity of India, earning admiration from the audience.
Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, in his address, urged students to uphold the values of freedom, integrity, and responsibility, while emphasising the importance of saluting and honouring the soldiers who safeguard our nation. He motivated everyone to contribute positively towards the country’s progress. The event concluded with resounding cheers of "Jai Hind", leaving all present filled with pride and renewed patriotic zeal.
