Inauguration of new museum of Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama in McLeodganj
Congress National Secretary and Dharamsala MLA Sudhir Sharma on Sunday inaugurated the new museum of Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama in McLeodganj in which the gifts received by Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama have been decorated for the tourists. It also includes audio and video documents coming from all over the world that are kept for tourists.
Dharamsala, December 10, 2023: Congress National Secretary and Dharamsala MLA Sudhir Sharma on Sunday inaugurated the new museum of Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama in McLeodganj in which the gifts received by Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama have been decorated for the tourists. It also includes audio and video documents coming from all over the world that are kept for tourists.
On this occasion, Sudhir Sharma said that he is feeling proud to witness the new chapter of religious tourism from McLeodganj. With the inauguration of this new museum, a new chapter of religious tourism will begin in Himachal. Sudhir Sharma said in his address that tourists from all over the world will be able to observe the historical things related to Dalai Lama in McLeodganj, which will give a new boost to religious high end tourism.
Sudhir Sharma said that the presence of Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama in McLeodganj is a matter of pride for the entire country including Himachal. Because of him this city has got a new identity across the world. Tourists and VVIPs come here from all over the world, due to which today McLeodganj has become the backbone of Himachal tourism.
He said that if we talk about Kangra district, domestic and foreign tourists come to visit Maa Chamunda, Bajreshwari and Jwalaji Mata, which has given a boost to religious tourism. There has also been an increase in the offerings to the temples and foreign currency is also being offered in the temples. Similarly, tourism is promoted by the presence of Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama here. Sudhir Sharma further said that there are religious places like historical Dal Lake in Dharamshala, Aghanjar Mahadev in Khaniyara, Bhagsunag, Kunal Pathari etc. The state government will maintain them.
Sudhir Sharma said that the work of smart city in Dharamshala is being expedited. The priority is to complete all 75 projects on time. He said that the Municipal Corporation will speed up the works in all the 17 wards of the city. The works are being monitored in every ward.
Sudhir Sharma said that the one year tenure of the state government has been good. Three out of ten guarantees have been fulfilled in one year. The remaining guarantees will also be fulfilled. Whatever Congress says, it fulfills. He said that there is enthusiasm among the public about the program going to be held in Dharamshala on Monday. People from all over the area will participate in the Dharamshala programme. He has instructed the district administration to provide every facility to the people coming to the program.
