IKGPTU recorded Increase in admission registrations of its Bachelor courses at Main Campus

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, June 4, 2025: This time, there is a tough competition to confirm seats in all courses including Engineering in the main campus of the state's first technical education university, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) located on Jalandhar-Kapurthala Road. Increase in admission registrations of bachelor courses in the main campus of PTU continues from the last 5 days. Admission registrations started by the university through its official website have got a boost. This time the admission registrations are more as compared to the last academic session.

On the increase in admissions registration, the Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal has said that being a government university, having better infrastructure, high level of education and highly qualified faculty, IKGPTU main campus has become the first choice of students and parents. He informed that the merit of registration will be made transparently, and seats will be allotted in all the courses as per the rules.

According to the facts shared by the University admission team, this time along with engineering courses, other courses running in the campus have also received a better response. This time, the admission enquiry has increased in the main campus courses for B. Vocational courses like Automobile Servicing, Construction Technology, Food Technology, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. According to Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Mittal, now students are giving importance to skilled courses, hence there is a huge demand for market-oriented courses in vocational courses.

This time also, B. Tech Computer Science Engineering (CSE), AIML, Civil Engineering are among the top choices in the main campus of the university. Students have also registered for admission in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering! The university is also taking admissions through the Lateral Entry System (LEET).

According to the admission notification issued by the university, other courses in which admissions are on the rise include BCA, BBA, BA (Journalism and Mass Communication), Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, BSc (Hons) Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Food Technology, Medical Lab Technology!
