Jalandhar/Kapurthala, March 11, 2026: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) organized a special lecture on the topic "NAAC Accreditation Process: Contemporary Framework, Challenges, and Solutions." Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal was the chief guest in this event. Dr. Harvinder Kaur Sidhu, Dean, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, was the keynote speaker.
Dr. Harvinder Kaur Sidhu spoke in detail about the accreditation process, its challenges, and possible solutions within the current framework. She stated that maintaining quality standards and continuous improvement are crucial for higher education institutions. She encouraged university officials and faculty members to pay special attention to documentation, academic activities, and research in accordance with NAAC norms.
Dr. Sidhu stated that accurate and proper documentation plays a crucial role in the accreditation process. She advised faculty members and officials to maintain accurate records of every academic and administrative activity so that the institution's performance is clearly visible during accreditation.
University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal shared that the NAAC accreditation process is an important criterion for the quality and credibility of any higher education institution. He added that such special lectures prove to be extremely beneficial for the faculty and administrative staff.
Registrar Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu spoke about the importance of proper documentation and teamwork in the NAAC accreditation process.
