The Centre for Extension & Outreach Activities (CEOA), in collaboration with the Department of Human Resource Management (HRM), I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala, successfully organised a One-Day Free Medical Consultation and Health Check-up Camp recently.

IKGPTU Organises One-Day Free Medical Consultation and Health Check-up Camp

Kapurthala/Jalandhar, October 5, 2026: The Centre for Extension & Outreach Activities (CEOA), in collaboration with the Department of Human Resource Management (HRM), I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala, successfully organised a One-Day Free Medical Consultation and Health Check-up Camp recently. The camp was conducted in association with Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar, with the objective of promoting awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups, early diagnosis, preventive healthcare, and overall well-being among university employees.
The camp was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Kumar Bansal, Vice Chancellor, IKGPTU. Addressing the participants, Dr. Bansal appreciated the efforts of the organisers and highlighted the significance of timely health screenings in ensuring preventive healthcare and enabling early detection and treatment of medical conditions. He encouraged employees to adopt regular health monitoring as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar, IKGPTU. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandhu remarked that such initiatives play a vital role in fostering health awareness among members of the university fraternity and motivate individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining their physical well-being.
The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response from the university community, with over 75 participants, including officers, faculty members, and staff, benefiting from the initiative. A dedicated medical team from Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar, led by Dr. Harpreet Singh, conducted essential health assessments, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and pulse rate examinations. Participants also availed themselves of free medical consultations and expert health advice from the attending doctors.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Kapil Gupta, Coordinator, CEOA, IKGPTU. He expressed sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the medical team from Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar, and all participants for their valuable support and active involvement in making the health camp a meaningful and successful initiative.
