IKGPTU North Zone Youth Festival 2026 Inagurated at CT Group of Institutions with Theme ‘Nasha Mukt Rangla Punjab’

CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, came alive with youthful energy, creativity and cultural vibrancy as the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) North Zone Youth Festival 2026, themed ‘Nasha Mukt Rangla Punjab’, commenced today.

Jalandhar, October 7, 2026: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, came alive with youthful energy, creativity and cultural vibrancy as the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) North Zone Youth Festival 2026, themed ‘Nasha Mukt Rangla Punjab’, commenced today. The three-day festival, being hosted at the CTIEMT, Shahpur Campus from October 7 to 9, has brought together students from 20+ colleges across the North Zone, providing them a vibrant platform to showcase their talent in music, dance, theatre, literary activities and fine arts.

Day 1 featured an exciting lineup of activities, including the Inauguration, Bhangra, Mime, Skit, an exhibition Classical Dance, Creative Writing (Poem, Short Story, Essay), Poem Recitation, Debate and Elocution topic announcements, Classical Vocal Solo, Classical Instrumental Solo (Percussion and Non-Percussion), Light Vocal Indian, On the Spot Painting, On the Spot Photography, Clay Modeling, and Collage Making.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Deepak Bali, Advisor, Culture & Tourism Department, Punjab and Vice President, Punjab Cricket Association, as the Chief Guest. Sameer Sharma, Assistant Director, Youth Affairs, IKGPTU, and Deepak Shah, Observer, North Zone Youth Festival, were present as special guests.

The ceremony witnessed a colourful celebration of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, followed by the first-day prize distribution. The festival will continue over the next two days with various cultural performances and competitions across music, literary activities, theatre, and fine arts.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, said that youth festivals provide much more than a competitive platform, as they encourage students to express themselves, celebrate their cultural roots and develop confidence and leadership qualities. He added that the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Rangla Punjab’ carries an important message of channelising the energy and potential of young people towards creativity, culture, sports and positive pursuits.

The event was also attended by Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CT Group; Dr. Nitin Tandon, Executive Director; Dr. Jayaashish Sethi, Campus Director; Er. Davinder Singh, Group Director DSW; and Lt. Tabish Ali Khan, Deputy Director, Student Welfare Department, along with senior officials, faculty members, coordinators and participating students.

With participation from colleges across the region, the three-day festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Punjab’s culture, creativity and youthful talent, while reinforcing the message of a healthy, progressive and Nasha Mukt Rangla Punjab.
