IKGPTU inter zonal Youth Fest-22: 2nd Day dedicated to Art, Act & Singing

Jalandhar/Kapurthala, December 1, 2022: I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Inter Zonal Youth Festival 2022 entered in second Day on Thursday. It was totally dedicated to Fine Art, Act & Singing Competition. Total of four different platforms/stage were established to showcase various arts & acts like Skit, One Act play, Rangoli, Clay modelling, Indian folk dance etc. Student Artists also performed well in group Shabad/Bhajan singing, folk song singing, War singing, Poem recitation, Debate, Poster making, Mehandi etc. The first stage in the university was Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium and the second stage was the seminar hall of G-3 building. The seminar hall near KRC was the third platform, while the drawing hall near the library was the fourth platform for various items. More than 30 judges were on duty from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm to prepare fair results for various arts, while more than 100 supporting staff from various supporting committees of the university also performed various duties with them.

Dean Student Welfare Dr. Gaurav Bhargava and Assistant Director Youth Services Sameer Sharma visited different forums from time to time and evaluated the talent of the students. Dean Dr. Bhargava told that the performance of the students in almost all the arts was commendable. Deputy Registrars, Assistant Registrars and faculty members from various departments of the university worked together to ensure that the competition fair, along with providing the necessary materials to the student artists.

It is need to mention that the three-day Inter Zonal Youth Festival has started at University on Nov. 30 & will continue till Dec. 02. In this, competitions are being held in more than 25 categories & around 3000 student artists from more than 40 colleges are giving different performances for three days.
