IKGPTU Badminton Tournaments (2022) inaugurated at DAVIET

Jalandhar, September 15, 2022: DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar,hosted“IKGPTU Badminton Tournaments (2022)” from September 15 to September 17, in Lala Chanchal Dass DAVIET auditorium. The number of teams registered in the category of men is 16, and the category of women is 13. The sports persons from different Institutes affiliated withIKG Punjab Technical University participated with full zeal & vigor.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal of DAVIET, welcomed sportspersons and officials from various participating institutions. He wished everyone on Engineer’s Day. He shared that lawyers progress when the rate of crime increases in society; doctors progress when the spread of diseases is rampant, but engineers prosper when society progresses. Therefore engineers are the true architects and builders of society. He also encouraged all the sports people to give their best to outperform each other but observe the true spirit of sportsmanship. Taking part in sports is a must, said Dr. Manoj, as it helps students develop team spirit, dedication, and devotion. He wished the participating teams the best of luck and stated that the best team should win. 

Dr Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, the sports president extended a warm welcome to all the officials and sports persons. He appreciated the efforts put in by Mr Sanjay Kundra, observer IKGPTU to make the tournament a success.
