Students appear in the entrance exam for MBA of Distance Education Program ';DEMET'; (Distance Education Management Entrance Test).
Jalandhar, October 11, 2015: The entrance exam for MBA of Distance Education Program ';DEMET'; (Distance Education Management Entrance Test) was successfully concluded by I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University today. The exam was conducted at state';s reputed college Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana in which a total of 309 students appeared and 24 students remained absent.
In order to meet the standards of regular courses, this exam of Distance Education was conducted, keeping in mind the norms of University Grants Commission. The result of the same will be announced on October 17, 2015.
The examination was held under the strict surveillance of conduct team of IKGPTU and GNDEC Ludhiana. Adding to this, flying teams and observers visited the examination center.
On the successful completion of exam IKG-PTU';s Vice Chancellor IAS Rakesh Verma said, "I congratulate the entire team for conducting the exam peacefully. The key objective of the university is to make the Distance Education course at par with the industry standards as well as to run it strictly on UGC guidelines. DEP';s curriculum is same as of regular MBA with syllabus as per latest industry needs. This will help us in producing good quality managers for industry."
