Jalandhar/Kapurthala, March 11, 2026: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala main campus organized a two-day workshop titled “Emerging Technologies: Web Development, Cloud Security & AI/ML – Learn Today’s Most In-Demand Technologies” on March 10–11 at the university’s main campus. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with O7 Services, an industry-focused technology and software development organization based in Jalandhar. The sessions were delivered by Vipin Mehra, CEO, and Gaurav Sharma, CTO of O7 Services, along with their technical team, who shared valuable industry knowledge with the participants. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering main campus take the lead in the mentorship of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Rajeev Bedi, Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who encouraged students to actively participate in such industry-oriented programs to enhance their technical and professional skills.
During the workshop, students were introduced to modern technologies including Full Stack Development, Cloud & Cloud Security, and Artificial Intelligence. The experts explained frontend and backend technologies such as Angular, React JS, and Node JS, along with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Virtual Machines, and CI/CD using Jenkins. The sessions also covered emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI with AI Agents.
Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the interactive sessions and practical demonstrations. The workshop provided valuable exposure to industry-relevant technologies and helped bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry requirements.
