IKG PTU incubated startup got CM Punjab appreciation, recognition & Rs.3 lakh seed money

Kapurthala, January 14, 2026: Agrizen Organics, an incubated startup of the Business Incubation Centre (BIC), I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), got appreciation, recognition & seed money by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Punjab S.Bhagwant Singh Mann ji during the Punjab Startup Conclave 2026. This event was held at Lovely Professional University Phagwara this week. The name of the startup founders are Pukhraj Singh and Amanpreet Kaur. This information was shared by Coordinator IKG PTU BIC Dr. Mrigender Singh Bedi.  

On this achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal, Registrar Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu & other officials congratulated Prof. Neelkanth Grover, Head & the team of IKG PTU BIC.

Dr. Mrigender Singh Bedi shared that during the same program, the startup was also awarded a seed grant of ₹3 lakh by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for further strengthening its journey towards scaling a sustainable Agri business model.

Agrizen Organics has developed an innovative solution that converts stubble, cow dung, fruit and vegetable waste, and green waste into organic manure and jiffy pellets. This initiative will address the challenge of stubble burning, improving soil fertility, and creating additional income opportunities for farmers.

This recognition and seed funding underline the role of the BIC incubator at IKG PTU in supporting impact driven startups that deliver sustainable, scalable, and farmer-centric solutions for Punjab and beyond.
