IKG PTU aims to impart quality education

With 250 Crores Investment on world class infrastructure, Highly qualified faculty in position in its campuses
· University announced admissions to its main campus, constitute campuses and affiliated colleges for various AICTE, UGC courses
· Online Counseling fee deposition will start from May 10
Jalandhar, May 7, 2017: With 250 crores Investment on world class infrastructure for students and after recruiting highly qualified faculty in its main and constitute campuses, now I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University’s aims to impart quality education. By targeting this, University announced admissions to its main campus, 05 Constitute Campuses and affiliated colleges for various AICTE, UGC courses for the admission session 2017-18.

University’s spokesperson said that University’s initial task was to develop world class infrastructure at its main campus, which is completed with the huge investment of 250 crores. This amount was spent to establish three College Buildings, Central Library, two students’ hostels, Seminar Hall, Open Air theatre, Sports indoor-outdoor complex, One Auditorium, Staff residence & Couple residential hostel. These buildings are at par with world class facilities.

Another task of university was to recruit highly qualified faculty. In 2016 University’s supreme body, Board of Governors, decided to go with only PhD qualified faculty in every stream for its main campus and constitute campuses. University recruited highly paid faculty who is highly qualified with PhD. Now University has 67 numbers of faculty members at the level of Professor, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors and 20+ faculty members are near to got their selection letters.

After successful achievement of these major tasks, now University announced admissions for 2017-18, to its main campus Kapurthala, constitute campuses at Amritsar, Batala, Bhikhiwind, Dinanagar, Hoshiarpur, and it’s 186 affiliated colleges for various AICTE, UGC courses. This Year University notified 30 under graduate UGC courses and 33 Master Degree and PG Diploma level courses. University also notified 17 Different academic department’s Graduate and Post Graduate courses for main campus at Kapurthala and other constitute campuses.

Spokes person said that online counseling fee deposition will start from 10th May 2017 for different AICTE Courses (1st Round) like B.Tech 1st year (along with fee waiver & Lateral Entry), B. Arch, B. Pharm, M. Tech., MBA etc. He informed that candidates have to deposit the counseling fee of Rs 2000/- before the last date to participate in centralized online counseling. He further added that University Main campus has 590 seats and 1010 seats at constituent institutions. This year inquiry rate is high but our mandate is to inculcate meritorious spirit to the coming generations and encourage & reward them.
