Hyderabad, January 16, 2018: The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) will host an activity under an India-EU ICT standards collaboration project funded by the European Union.

A full-day developers tutorial will be conducted on 14 February 2018 using an open source implementation of oneM2M, developed by a team of French researchers from Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems (LAAS-CNRS), University of Toulouse. This highly informative hands-on session is specially relevant to technology students, developers and start-ups focusing on the Internet of Things.

oneM2M is a global standardisation initiative (with active participation also of the Indian and European telecom standards bodies) that creates requirements, architecture, API specifications, security solutions and interoperability for Machine-to-Machine and IoT technologies.

IIIT-Hyderabad is the only institute in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to be hosting the event. It is one of 4 institutions from India who will be conducting it (apart from IIT-Delhi, IISc Bangalore and Panjab University Chandigarh).

The number of seats to the session is limited to only 100 participants and registration is mandatory but free.

Speaking about this collaboration Dr. Sachin Chaudhari from Signal Processing and Communication Research Center (SPCRC), IIIT-H said, “This knowledge collaboration between IIITH’s research labs and LAAS-CNRS is a wonderful opportunity for our students to gain exposure to high-level international IoT research”.
