IIIT-Delhi hosted the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme 2026
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) hosted the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) 2026 organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through MY Bharat. This is a flagship national initiative aimed at empowering India’s youth and connecting them with the nation’s developmental roadmap towards Viksit Bharat@2047. This was an interactive session intended to bring together the students, faculty and young changemakers on leadership and nation-building.
New Delhi, March 26, 2026: Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) hosted the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) 2026 organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, through MY Bharat. This is a flagship national initiative aimed at empowering India’s youth and connecting them with the nation’s developmental roadmap towards Viksit Bharat@2047. This was an interactive session intended to bring together the students, faculty and young changemakers on leadership and nation-building.
As part of this programme, an insightful session by the youth icon Vanaj Vidyan was conducted on campus today. He is an All India Rank 278 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. A practising Supreme Court advocate, Mr Vanaj captivated the audience with his journey, insight and vision for the future of India. He believes everybody has to equally contribute to shape a progressive and inclusive nation. We will need more clarity of purpose and ethical leadership for this purpose.
During his presentation, Vanaj highlighted the importance of our national song ‘Vande Mataram’ where he shed some light on the rich 150-year-old history of the national song and its relevance in contemporary society. He encouraged students to engage in public service and policymaking actively in his address. Sharing his vision on the important role of today’s youth in leading the systematic change. Vanaj had practical advice on preparing for competitive examinations. It is important to maintain discipline in the study routine and make a path through the challenges with determination.
The organisers from IIIT-Delhi as well as My Bharat appreciated the enthusiastic participation of all during the session. They also applauded the valuable insights shared by Vanaj and other contributors to the session. The successful conduct of the session is another example of IIIT-Delhi’s commitment to the comprehensive development of students with the encouragement and support from the government. It also strengthened the focus of the institute in encouraging students to think beyond careers. They are trained in different domains to be eligible to give meaningful contributions to society.
The Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme 2026reflects the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sets an example of the power of leading youth towards the growth of aself-reliant and developed India by 2047. Initiatives like these play an important role in inspiring the next generation to lead with purpose, integrity and impact.
