ICAR-CIPHET signs MoU with SLIET

Ludhiana, February 9, 2022: ICAR-Central Institute of Post-harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET), Ludhiana signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET) on 9 February, 2022. The MoU was signed and exchanged between Dr Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET and Dr. Shailendra Jain, Director, SLIET at SLIET campus, Longowal, Sangrur, in presence of Dr Sandeep Mann, OIC PME, Dr D N Yadav, HoD (Acting), Transfer of Technology Division of ICAR-CIPHET, Dr J S Dhillon, Dean (Academics) and Dr Navdeep Jindal, Associate Dean (Academics) of SLIET. ICAR-CIPHET is a nodal institute to undertake lead researches in the area of the post-harvest engineering and technology appropriate to agricultural production catchment and agro-industries. SLIET, a Deemed to be Univserty under Ministry of Education, GoI is provides technical education and cater to the technical manpower requirements with emphasis on practical training in industry. The two institutions, have decided to enter into long-term collaboration for promotion of students’ training and quality postgraduate research in cutting edge areas of post-harvest technology under the MoU. This MoU will provide an opportunity to students and faculty to do research at both institutions, as they would have accessibility to their laboratories and other resources.
