ICAR-CIPHET Ludhiana gave licensing of pearl millet based extrudates to budding women entrepreneur of Raipur

Extruded snack food is popular due to its convenience, low cost, and variety of flavors and shapes along with easy availability in vending machines, convenience stores, and supermarkets. However most of the expanded snack foods available in the market are made from starchy food grains, that induce the higher expansion and better textural and functional properties but nutritionally poorer in minerals, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. Pearl millet based products are loaded with various other essential goodness that makes it critically important for health conscious people.
