I S Dev Samaj School holds annual sports day

Chandigarh, November 27, 2019: I S Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector-21-C, Chandigarh, celebrated its Annual Sports Day at the school sports ground. At the event various sports activities like sack race, hurdle race, 3 legged races, tug of war, slow cycling race, dress race, etc were organized, in which the students took part with full enthusiasm. The sports event was followed by many cultural events performed by the students which left the audience awestruck. While participating in hurdle race (boys category) Thamesh from 9th class bagged the 1st place, while Vaibhav and Amit again from class 9 secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In girls category, Manisha from 9th class clinched the 1st place, while Babita and Shreya both 9th class students secured 2nd and 3rd places respectively. In sack race in boys category, Narinder and Akash from 6th class was declared 1st and 2nd, while Nirmal from 7th class secured 3rd place. And in girls category, Nancy from 7th class bagged the 1st place, while Mehak from 6th class and Anshika a 7th class student settled at 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the dress race in boy’s category, Neeraj and Kartik from 5th class secured 1st & 2nd place respectively and Manpreet from 4th class secured 3rd place. And in the girls category Manya from 5th class bagged 1st place, while Soumya, 4th class and Nandini from 5th class secured 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The winners were awarded medals by the chief guest – Dr. Meena Chopra, Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW ), Sec 45,Chandigarh, guest of honour - Jaspal Kaur , Financial Advisor, DSCW 45 and the school’s Principal Loveleen Bedi.
