The 70th Filmfare Awards South with Kerala Tourism marked a historic first as Kochi hosted the prestigious celebration on 21st February 2026 at the Adlux International Convention Centre. Bringing together the biggest names from Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu cinema, the milestone edition celebrated excellence across industries with grandeur and fanfare. Among the standout moments of the night, Allu Arjun won the award for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) – Telugu for his stellar performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The win marked the seventh Filmfare award for the superstar, further cementing his stature as one of Indian cinema’s most bankable actors.
