Sony SAB’s Yaadein continues to entertain audiences with its unique mix of humour, everyday relationships and intriguing medical mysteries. As Dr Srishty (Gulki Joshi) and Diggy (Arjun Punjj) prepare to take their relationship forward and their wedding draws closer, Dr Srishty is seen embracing a beautiful traditional Maharashtrian look, adding a special touch to the celebrations.
In the upcoming track, Gulki steps into a traditional Maharashtrian avatar, complete with a saree, jewellery, green bangles and a nath. While the transformation added a celebration charm to the sets, it became an unexpectedly emotional moment for Gulki off-screen as well. Excited about her look, Gulki sent a picture of herself in the traditional Maharashtrian bridal attire to her mother. When her mother saw her dressed as a bride, she became emotional and shared that seeing Gulki in the traditional attire was exactly how she imagined seeing her on her wedding day. The heartfelt reaction turned what was initially a character look into a special personal moment for Gulki, making the experience all the more memorable.
Talking about the moment, Gulki Joshi shares, “The moment my mom saw me dressed in the Maharashtrian bridal look, she got really emotional. She told me ‘This is how I see you on your wedding day’ and that honestly touched me. As an actor, I’ve carried so many different looks for my characters, but this one felt very personal because it suddenly made me see myself through my mother’s eyes. It was a beautiful and emotional moment that I’ll definitely remember from this track. I think every daughter has that one moment when her mother looks at her and suddenly sees her all grown up and for me this was that moment.”
