Hybrid National Conference held  

Chandigarh, September 16, 2021: Haryana Yog Aayog and Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh Administration are organizing 2 days Hybrid National Conference from 16th to 17th September, 2021 which is being held in the Yoga Hall of the college.
 
            National level conference on the theme “Role of Yoga and Naturopathy in the Management of Post COVID-19 Symptoms” It has come up at the time when the whole world is affected by COVID19 and is looking for the ways to deal with such unprecedented situation.
 
            The two days conference was inaugurated by Dr. Jaideep Arya, First Chairman of Haryana Yoga Aayog along with Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal of the college, Dr. Akshay Anand, Professor In-charge, CCRYN collaboration centre for Mind Body Intervention by Yoga, Ms. Madhu Pandit, Indian Yoga Association.
 
            Dr. Sapna Nanda while welcoming the esteemed Guests spoke about the vision behind organising the conference and shared her insights about the joint efforts of the college and Haryana Yog Aayog in spreading the message of Yoga and Naturopathy outreaching the community at large.
 
            Dr. Jaideep Arya in his presidential address shared the outline of the two day conference and highly appreciated the efforts of Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi for creating Global Recognition of Yoga. He stressed upon the importance of research in the field of Yoga and Naturopathy. He further shared the efforts of the Aayog for including Yoga as a full fledged compulsory subject in Haryana from 1st to 10th Class. He also shared about the various ongoing Research Projects on COVID-19 and studying the effects of Yoga & Naturopathy on various Physiological & Psychological Parameters.
 
            On the first day of the conference eminent speakers like Dr. Vikram Singh, Sr. Asst. Director, Physical Education in JNU, New Delhi, Dr. Madan Manav, CMO Haryana Yog Ayog and Naturopathy Hospital, Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta, President, Arogya Bharti Haryana,        Dr. Ramadas Maganti, Principal, Dhanwantri College & Hospital Chandigarh shared their intellectual views on topics related to COVID-19 Management. The lecture session was followed by Paper presentations by the experts from the field.
 
            The occasion also witnessed the release of Yoga book titled “A Text Book of Yoga” comprising syllabus of Yoga for Class XII CBSE students authored by Dr. Sapna Nanda, Mr. Manish and Ms. Bharti Goel. The salient feature of the book is that all the pictures of Asanas and Shatkarma can be scanned through QR Code and video for the same can be accessed by the readers. The last session was graced by Dr. Sangeeta Nehra, Director AYUSH, Haryana and day one of the national conference concluded.
