HUWJ will cooperate with the Municipal Corporation in making Rohtak clean and beautiful
Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Rohtak reiterated his commitment to make the city clean and beautiful and appealed to the media personnel of Rohtak to become an active part of the corporation's cleanliness drive.
Rohtak, December 29, 2025: Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Rohtak reiterated his commitment to make the city clean and beautiful and appealed to the media personnel of Rohtak to become an active part of the corporation's cleanliness drive.
Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma was interacting with media persons as the chief guest at an interactive session on the cleanliness campaign. It was organized by the Haryana Union of Working Journalists (HUWJ). DIPRO Sanjeev Saini was present as the guest of honour. The program was presided over by Manmohan Kathuria, State President of the HUWJ.
It is noteworthy that the Haryana Union of Working Journalists (HUWJ), fulfilling its social responsibilities, has decided to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation, Rohtak in its cleanliness campaign. HUWJ State President Manmohan Kathuria welcomed the Municipal Commissioner and presented him with a bouquet of flowers.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma shared information about various schemes for the beautification and cleanliness of the city. He informed that the tender process for various works is underway and the work will start soon. The Municipal Commissioner discussed issues such as encroachment on markets and roads, stray cattle, dairy relocation, road construction, beautification of various parks and roundabouts, waste disposal, operation of fountains, strengthening of lighting systems, and shelter houses for stray dogs etc..
Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma said that public participation is also extremely important in keeping the city clean; therefore, the municipal corporation is conducting awareness campaigns regarding cleanliness. He informed that a clean ward competition will also be organized soon to make the city clean. Dr. Sharma said that media personnel have a crucial role to play in making Rohtak a clean, beautiful, safe, and modern city.
In his presidential address, HUWJ State President Manmohan Kathuria, said that keeping the city clean is not only the responsibility of the municipal corporation, but a collective responsibility of all of us. He assured Dr. Sharma that the journalists would extend their full support to the municipal corporation in making the cleanliness campaign a success.
Earlier, Lokesh Jain, State Treasurer of the HUWJ, gave the welcome address and highlighted the theme of the program. Chief Guest Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma was honored with a memento by the HUWJ office bearers and members. Several journalists were present on the occasion.
