The very popular producer, Ali Mustafa has produced/mixed and mastered the track. The energetic pop-song in English and Hindi, tells the story of two different women — one is a soft, sensual, and romantic soul, while the other is charismatic and bold. The contrast of their stories highlights different personalities and the layers of experiences and its many faces that each of them comes across. The female leads also demonstrate that the strength of a woman has many mediums and even different languages of expression.

The beats are perfect for the youth - it is sassy, confident and catchy. VARSHAVINN and Thara Dhishay’s renditions, presentation and expressions add a unique feel to the whole experience. The colorful visuals of the song and its versatile tune immediately forms a connection with the listeners. When it comes to music, the layering of expression is beautiful, it has electronic elements with a fusion of Western pop, dance music and Bollywood flavours. The meaningful lyrics in Hindi and English, penned by VARSHAVINN, Lily Brandt Lyons, Thara Dhishay, Money Ghachla and Ali Mustafa, play along with the tempo.

Indian origin VARSHAVINN is now a popular pop singer/songwriter. Over the last three years, she has garnered attention from the media, and wooed hearts on social media. She has been featured in the Under 25 Achievers of India and has also performed at the Formula1 race in Abu Dhabi. VARSHAVINN has earned praise for her songwriting skills and wrote lyrics in English for several artists. Her lyrics for Arab artist Talal Kontar’s new song ‘Hkini Arabic’ went viral and earned her more fame. Thara, on the other hand, is a full-time vocalist, raised in Bahrain. Much like VARSHAVINN, she too graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Thara released her first single ‘For A Far Away Friend’ in collaboration with Alan Ebe this year. She has been honoured with various awards and accomplishments ever since she became a singer.

VARSHAVINN sounds excited talking about his song, “Aaja is very close to my heart. It feels wonderful to be able to create a track that talks about different shades of a woman, which is a theme I focus on in my songwriting. Making this song has been a learning experience. Thara and I are elated and overwhelmed and can’t thank Hungama Artist Aloud enough for giving us such a huge platform. We are hoping that the women of India who appreciate music and femininity will enjoy the song and it will inspire them to take a brief pause to understand themselves better and embrace every thing about being a woman without judgement.”

Voicing a similar opinion, Thara, adds, “Aaja is a very different composition, and we had a great time making the song. It feels wonderful to be able to sing such a number that embodies different female emotions and experiences. This is our special offering to the youth, especially women, we intended to make this a theme song for them. The lyrics are meaningful, catchy, and easy to remember. Can't wait to find out how listeners react to the song. I am pretty excited and hoping for the best.”

Elaborating on extending support to independent music and artists, Soumini Sridhara Paul, Senior Vice President, Hungama Artist Aloud, shares, “We at Hungama Artist Aloud want to put the spotlight on independent artists and offer them a platform to showcase their talent and reach out to audiences across the globe. AAJA is their original song featuring Ali Mustafa and we wanted to be a part of this extraordinary journey. We always wanted to back independent women bringing out their stories through music and what better occasion to highlight one such narrative but on International Women’s Day. It’s a beautiful and meaningful desi pop song that will touch a chord with music lovers. The song is a perfect blend of good lyrics, composition, vocals and presentation.”
