Hundreds years old building to be converted into restaurant to boost tourism

Ferozepur, November 30, 2021: To boost the tourism in this border district, the district administration has chalked out a plan under which the hundreds years old rest house situated near the twin canals at Hussainiwala, will be converted into a restaurant besides the park situated near the building will also be developed for the visitors.
Giving details, Davinder Singh DC said that this move will boost the tourism in this area. . “Hundreds of people come to this place daily to pay homage to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the gallant martyrs who had lit the eternal flame of liberty and smilingly embraced gallows for the motherland. The tourists will be able to spend some quality time here when this place will be developed. Under this project, besides the restaurants, the entire landscape will be made more beautiful, swings will be installed for the kids”, said DC.
The DC also conducted a meeting with the local NGOs at the site and sought their opinions.
It is pertinent to mention here that soon a high-tech light and sound show depicting the life of martyrs will be starting at the National Martyrs Memorial at the cost of 5.70 cores under centrally funded “Swadesh Darshan” scheme. Recently, Special Chief Secretary ( Tourism & Cultural Affairs) Sanjay Kumar  had paid the visit here to take stock of the ongoing project.
