HSIIDC Volleyball players brings laurels

Chandigarh, May 23, 2015: The volleyball team of Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) won the prestigious2nd All India Volleyball Tournament for the CSB Champions Trophy which was held at Goa from 10th May to 17th May,2015. The tournament was organized by Cuncolim Union, Goa. HSIIDC team won the final match by defeated Indian Bank, Chennai by 18-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-17. In the final HSIIDC team came back from a set down from Indian Bank, Chennai and the next three sets were sheer exhibits of the superiority of the HSIIDC lads over their counterparts with powerful display of smashes, passing which left Chennai searching for answers that did not come. Eight top volleyball teams in the country had participated in the tournament. Sh. Gurpreeet Singh was adjudged as Best Setter of the tournament.     Sh. Vineet Garg, Managing Director, HSIIDC congratulate the players for their excellent performance and on bringing laurels to Haryana State and also to the Corporation.

Team HSIIDC includes: Two Bheem awardee namely: Sube Singh (Captain), Dinesh Kumar and one Arjun awardee Sanjay Kumar and the other players are: Raghuveer Singh, Darshan Singh, Surjit Singh, Jitender Kumar, Gurpreet Singh all are international players. This achievement was possible because of earnest efforts put in by Sh. Raghuveer Singh, Senior Manager (Sports), who has been guiding and honing the skills of the team mates.
