HPSC has become a Rejection Commission for Haryana youth, instead of a Selection Commission: MP Deepender Hooda

Chandigarh, February 5, 2026: Congress MP Deepender Hooda has said that the HPSC has become a Rejection Commission for Haryana youth, instead of a selection commission. He made a post on social media platform X.

“For the past 12 years, the BJP government has been cheating the youth of Haryana in the name of recruitment. After years of waiting, when the result of the HPSC PGT Computer Science recruitment for 1711 posts was declared, only 39 candidates passed, and the remaining 1672 posts will remain vacant,” he said.

“Even before this, many posts were left vacant in numerous recruitments. The HPSC has, in fact, become a Non-Haryana Public Service Commission, instead of the Haryana Public Service Commission. This is because most of the selections are of candidates from outside Haryana,” he added.

“The youth of Haryana clear UPSC and other major competitive examinations, but the HPSC is deliberately disqualifying them in its examinations as part of a well-planned conspiracy,” he pointed out.

Deepender demanded that the HPSC Chairman be immediately dismissed and a person from Haryana be appointed as the Chairman. He also demanded that the HPSC be dissolved, an impartial inquiry be conducted into all recruitment scams, and action be taken against the culprits.

MP Hooda said that ever since a chairman from outside the state was appointed to the HPSC (Haryana Public Service Commission), most of the selected candidates have been from other states. He pointed out that in other states, the governments prioritize their own state's youth for jobs and design their recruitment processes and rules in such a way that the jobs primarily go to local youth.

Deepender also said that if the government doesn't consider Haryana's youth capable, doesn't that mean the BJP government has ruined Haryana's education system? “If most of the government jobs in Haryana are going to candidates from other states, where will the youth of Haryana go,” he questioned.

He said the rights of the people of Haryana are being snatched away through a well-planned conspiracy, and a great injustice is being done to the communities that are entitled to reservation benefits. “The youth of Haryana are migrating through illegal routes (Donkey Route), while Group A, B, and C jobs in Haryana are being taken by candidates from other states,” he said.

Giving examples of the selection of candidates from outside Haryana and the vacant reserved seats, he stated that in the Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) Assistant Engineer (AE/SDO) recruitment, 214 candidates were called for document verification, out of which only 29 were from Haryana.

He said that earlier, in the selection of Civil Judges, 60 out of 110 were from outside Haryana, and in the Irrigation Department, 28 out of 49 candidates were from outside Haryana.  In the SDO Electrical recruitment, 69 out of 80 were from outside Haryana, with only 2 from Haryana. Similarly, in the Technical Education Department, 106 out of 153 lecturers selected were from outside the state.

Deepender said a great injustice is being done through backdoor methods to the communities that should be benefiting from reservation. Giving another example, he said that last week, out of 613 posts for Assistant Professor, English, only 151 candidates were selected, and the remaining posts were left vacant. A great injustice was done to the Scheduled Castes (SC) category, as only 1 candidate was selected out of 60 reserved seats, and the rest were left vacant under the pretext of the 35% quota and other conditions.
