HPCA welcomes High Court decision

Dharamshala: In a joint press statement issued by R.P.Singh – Vice President, Sumeet Sharma - Honorary Secretary, Avnish Parmar- Treasurer and Amitabh Sharma –Joint Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), said, “We welcome the decision of the Honourable High Court in quashing all the cases against HPCA and Its office-bearers and members.”
They said that these cases against the association and its office-bearers were politically motivated and fabricated to malign the reputation of our former president Anurag Thakur, the then MP from Hamirpur, who had done tremendous work for the game and its cricketers in the state and firmly put the association on the international map.
The statement further said, “We stand vindicated, as we have always maintained that the cases were false and motivated to malign the reputation of our association and its office bearers due to political extraneous considerations and nothing to do with merit of the running the association and the game of cricket in the state. The association will continue to work with full zeal as in the past for the development of the game, cricketers and the cricketing infrastructure of the state.”
