The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has initiated a groundbreaking talent hunt program specifically designed for fast and spin bowlers, aiming to discover and cultivate the next generation of cricketing talent. Announced by Avnish Parmar, the Honorary Secretary of HPCA, in Dharamshala, this initiative seeks to scout for promising cricketers across the state.

Dharamshala, February 27, 2024: The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has initiated a groundbreaking talent hunt program specifically designed for fast and spin bowlers, aiming to discover and cultivate the next generation of cricketing talent. Announced by Avnish Parmar, the Honorary Secretary of HPCA, in Dharamshala, this initiative seeks to scout for promising cricketers across the state.

The talent hunt will commence on March 15, at the prestigious HPCA Cricket Stadium in Gumma, Kotkhai, located in the Shimla district. This will be the first in a series of trials, with subsequent sessions scheduled for March 17 at the MSLM College ground in Sundernagar, Mandi district, March 19 at Indira Stadium in Una, and concluding on March 21 at Rainbow International School in Nagrota Bagwan, Kangra district. These trials will be conducted under the watchful eyes of cricketing experts, ensuring that discovered talents are accurately identified and further developed.

To be eligible for this unique opportunity, aspirants must be under 20 years of age (born on or after September 1, 2004), hold bona fide domicile status in Himachal Pradesh, and be currently enrolled in an educational institution within the state for the 2023-24 academic session.

The HPCA currently operates 53 sub-centers and 9 District Cricket Academies throughout Himachal Pradesh, providing training to approximately 1800 men and women. This talent hunt is an extension of HPCA's commitment to nurturing cricketing talent, offering a structured pathway for young aspirants to develop into professional cricketers of the future.
