HP Board 10th class result is 87.5 per cent
67 girls in merit of 77 students, poor show by government schools
Dharamsala, June 29, 2022: The Board of school Education in Dharamsala has declared class 10 results today. 78573 students out of 90375 were declared pass while 1409 put under compartment, making the result as 87.5%. Informing this Dr Suresh Soni, Chairman HP Board of School Education said in Dharamsala, “77 students were placed in top 10 positions of merit this year and 67 among them are girls. If we further study the merit list then we can find that out of these 77 positions only 11 students are from government schools of the state and 66 merit positions are captured by private schools.”
He further said that the 1st position in merit was shared by Ms Priyanka of Sarswati Vidya Mandir, Tattapani in Mandi district and Devangi Sharma of Anglo Sanskrit Model Sr Sec School Mandi, both obtained 693(99%)marks. 2nd position was captured by a boy Aditya Sankhyaan of Sarswati Vidya Mandir School Hatwar of Bilaspur district with 692(98’86%) marks and third position is again shared by two girls Ms Anshul Thakur of Sarswati Vidya Mandir Mohin of Mandi district and Ms Siya Thakur of MML Public School Jalgran of Una district with 691(98.71%) marks
He said that the board’s result of class 10th was 63.39% in 2017-18, 60.79% in 2018-19 and 68.11% in 2019-20. During the Covid period in 2021-22 all the students were promoted according to the government's policy then.
