HMV bagged prizes in State level Bhai Vir Singh Flower and Plants Exhibition at GNDU

Jalandhar, December 21, 2021: Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, P.G Department of Botany of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar bagged many prizes under different categories at Bhai Vir Singh flower and Plants show dedicated to the birth centenary celebrations of philosopher and environmentalist, Bhai Vir Singh, organized by GNDU, Amritsar from December 15-17. HMV has been participating in this annual spring festival with great enthusiasm for many years. HMV participated in various categories like flowering Plants (Salvia, Chrisanthemum), foliage plants like Aglonema, Crotons, Dieffenbachia, Dracaena, Ferns, Ficus, ornamental plants and Succulents etc. Students also participated in rangoli. 
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen motivated the students and said that it’s important for the youth to maintain connection with nature. She congratulated Head of Botany Department Dr. Anjana Bhatia & other members of the staff. Students Muskan, Prabhdeep, Ahana, Neha, Vani and their mentors Ramandeep, Harpeet Kaur, Dr. Shuchi, Shweta,  Saloni participated in the competition and attended the  exhibition and seminar. On this occasion, Dr.Shaveta Chauhan, Dr.Nitika Kapoor and  Navneeta were also present.
