Sony SAB's eagerly awaited show, 'Pashminna - Dhaage Mohobbat Ke', transports viewers to the enchanting landscapes of Kashmir, where a captivating tale of love unfolds. In this gripping narrative, Hiten Tejwani breathes life into the complex character of Avinash Sharma, whose self-absorbed nature and insatiable thirst for control are set to captivate audiences. Hiten candidly discusses his portrayal of Avinash, revealing the intriguing facets of this character and what lies ahead for viewers.

1. Can you tell us about your character, Avinash, and what makes him attractive?
Avinash, at first glance, appears an ordinary person on the surface; however, beneath that exterior, there's a fascinating and complex character waiting to be discovered. He's got this intense desire to be in charge. What’s interesting is his ability to maintain that control without appearing negative or doing anything that would make people see him in a bad light. He genuinely sees his actions as good and justified from his perspective, but this doesn't necessarily align with what others might need or want.

2. As an actor, what drew you to the role of Avinash, and what do you hope viewers will take away from this complex character when they watch the show?
Avinash is a multifaceted character who loves his family and his near and dear ones while living on his own terms. Like most folks, he doesn't want his past to mess up his present and hurt his family. I hope people can see from this character that even when someone is complicated and not always clear about what's right or wrong, they're still a person. Avinash follows his own wishes, not to harm others, but because he believes it's best for himself.

3. Can you tell us about the relationship between your character, Avinash and Raghav in the show?
My character, Avinash, serves as a mentor to Raghav (played by Nishant Malkani), and there's a deep bond of respect between them. Avinash has trained and guided Raghav throughout his life, imparting business knowledge and life lessons. The conflict arises when Raghav doesn't follow Avinash's instructions precisely or chooses to pursue his own path. Then Avinash attempts to discreetly resolve these issues in his own manner while portraying them as actions taken for the collective benefit of everyone involved.

4. Avinash’s character has a bit of grey shades. How did you prepare yourself for this character?
Avinash is a grey character who is driven by his own desires and convictions, often at the expense of others. This belief stems from his past, where he didn't have certain things that others did and felt he deserved more. So now, having acquired those things, he's driven by an unending need for control. To embody Avinash, I had to delve into the mindset of a person who sees himself as the one who can rescue others from challenging situations, offering help and being their saviour. In his perspective, he believes that everything depends on him, and this leads to his belief that he has ultimate power.

5. How does it feel to work with Gauri again after so many years, and what will the dynamics be between you this time?
It's absolutely fantastic to collaborate with Gauri again after all these years. However, there's a small catch here: both of us are not a conventional couple that you usually see on television. Gauri and I know each other well, and working together is like second nature. We can effortlessly predict each other's actions and reactions in scenes, making it easier for us to perform. We share a high level of comfort and ease, which is a joy in itself.
