Hindu College Staff, Students Show Sporting Spirit on National Sports Day

Rohtak, August 29, 2026: Lal Nath Hindu College, Rohtak celebrated National Sports Day, marking the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, with a series of sporting activities held under the directions of the Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE), Panchkula.
Principal Dr Anil Taneja, who presided over the event, said National Sports Day is observed across the country to honour Major Dhyan Chand. He said participating in sports with true sporting spirit is the best tribute to the legendary player.
Students and staff members enthusiastically participated in competitions and activities including yoga, chess, badminton, Rumaal Jhapatta, kho-kho and table tennis.
Faculty members including Dr Anju Deswal, Dr Rashmi Chhabra, Dr Chitra Sharma, Dr Deepti Sharma, Dr Shalu, Dr Rajesh, Dr Mausam, Lalita, Dr Poonam, and Dr Sujata, along with students, were present on the occasion.
