Chandigarh, September 22, 2026: A Hindi Word Knowledge Competition was organised at Government Home Science College as part of Hindi Fortnight 2026. The competition was one of the activities being conducted during the Hindi Fortnight from September 14 to 28. The objective was to develop students’ interest in the Hindi language and promote their vocabulary, language skills and creative expression.
Students from various courses and departments of the college participated enthusiastically in the competition. The activity provided participants an opportunity to learn about Hindi words, their meanings and usage, as well as the richness of the Hindi vocabulary. It not only enhanced the students’ knowledge of the Hindi language but also helped develop their linguistic proficiency. The participants took part with great enthusiasm and demonstrated their understanding and knowledge of the language.
College Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal appreciated the active and enthusiastic participation of the students. She said that such activities organised during Hindi Fortnight play an important role in connecting students with the Hindi language and enriching their linguistic knowledge.
