Himachali Film ,PASHI is the WINNER OF 2 AWARDS & 2 HONORABLE MENTIONS at Chile, South America

Dharamshala, December 19, 2017: The Himachali short film PASHI , which is already nominated in Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Short Film category of World Music and Independent Films Festival 29th Jan-3rd Feb, 2018, Washington DC, USA , has won 2 AWARDS & 2 HONORABLE MENTIONS at the South Film and Arts Academy Festival in Chile, South America. The festival was held from 17th Dec - 18th Dec, 2017, at Chile in South America.

Informing this Mr.Siddharth Chauhan Director of the film said,"We are thrilled!!! This is the first time any film from Himachal has received such an overwhelming response at an International Film Festival. This one is special because we have received 4 Special Mentions (2 Awards & 2 Honorable Mentions)!!!"

He further added"I am extremely happy for Chetan Kanwar who has won an Honorable Mention for the Best Actor in a Short Film has been recognised. I hope the film industry discovers Chetan Kanwar soon, he truly is a gem!!!"

It was also informed that PASHI was premiered at the Oscar Qualifying at Rhode Island International Film Festival in USA and this the film's 2nd screening in US after travelling to China & Italy. Pashi was recently also awarded Best Cinematography Award at Marietta International Film Festival in Georgia.

Chauhan said that this film shall be screened at Jaipur Int Film Festival, Jan 6-10th 2018, at Jaipur India and then at World Music and Independent Films Festival 29th Jan-3rd Feb, 2018, Washington DC, USA .

The film was shot in 10 days at the Sunta Lodge, a beautiful wooden mansion of Village Khalwan, owned by Shri. Omkar Sunta and some parts were filmed in Village Dhanoti at Shri Balwan Singh Chauhan's House, near Tikker, Rohru .

The story of the film was set in a traditional Himachali village, an unusual love story unfolds as a visitor arrives and meets his neighbor after years. Simultaneously, a young boy learns about a technique of trapping birds from his wicked-old grandmother and begins to practice it.
