Himachal police intensified vigil on Punjab Boarder in view of Punjab poll

Dharamsala, February 20, 2022: Kangra Police conducted the Operation night dominance along Punjab Borders in Police Subdivisions of Nurpur, Jawali and Dehra of Kangra District in view of ongoing election for State Assembly of Punjab.

Informing this to the media Kushal Sharma IPS ,SSP Kangra said that Sumedha Dwivedi, DIG Northern Range did checking of  inter-state Nakas in Nurpur Subdivision during the intervening night of 19th & 20th February along with SSP Kangra,  Surinder Sharma DySP Nurpur,  Manish Dhadwal, DySP, Staff Officer to Range IGP and SHOs of PS Nurpur, Damtal and Indora. 

He said, "DIG NR  Himachal has been camping at Nurpur since yesterday morning in view of Punjab Assembly Elections,voting of which is  on today." 

SP Kangra has also been camping here since yesterday evening. Situation is peaceful along the borders.

Punjab is voting for assembly today in a single day polling.
